Vacation in Colorado

by Rammy
(Northborough, MA, USA)

When I last visited Colorado, I decided to try skiing for the first time in my life. Usually I snowboard, but I wanted to try something different. Colorado is about as perfect as perfect can be for snow sports.

After the first few days in Colorado, I hit the slopes. I rented some skis at a rental shop, and went up the mountain via ski lift. I previously took lessons at the mountain before I went up the ski lift, so I had a little bit of an idea of what I should do to get started. I fell several times, and I even hurt my knee. After going down the mountain about seven times, I started to get the hang of it. I made it all the way down without falling!

While in Colorado, I attended a Denver Broncos game. Even though they lost, it was exciting to be a part of it. We had very good seats and the tickets weren’t too pricey.

The next day, I went ice skating with my family. We had an excellent time, and the temperature wasn’t too cold that day. The skates were fairly cheap to rent too. There was a snack bar there that serves lunch and dinner, so it is possible to stay all day.

Colorado was a lot of fun, and I even met someone who became a good friend. Colorado overall was a great vacation, and I would go again - and again.
