Tiny Town - A Miniature Village in Colorado
Tiny Town, located in a picturesque mountain canyon at what was once a Denver - Leadville stagecoach stop, features 1900's style one-sixth sized buildings. It was build in 1920 by businessman George Turner for his daughter.
The attraction features replicas of Mount Vernon and other famous buildings, as well as mini versions of Colorado locations, such as a mine, the Coney Island hotdog stand, and more. There is also a large playground for kids, and many of the tiny houses are open and children can crawl around in them. You can ride the train around the park for $1 per person. Sometimes on the weekend they run the old steam engine, rather than the diesel. A nice gift shop and a snack stand is on the premises. A lot of fun for children and inexpensive for parents! 6249 S.
