The Winter Park Mountain Lodge in Colorado

by Lisa
(Winter Park, Colorado)

Hi...I would like to share my experience about The Winter Park Mountain Lodge because I was very apprehensive about going to Colorado at first, although my husband insisted it would be a lot of fun; I was still very worried about the cost and had always heard that it was really expensive to go, no matter where you ended up staying.

However, I booked my reservation through Expedia's website and we got a really good deal on our stay because we were staying for more than 3 nights. Once we got there, I could not believe how beautiful it was and I kept thinking "There has to be a catch because there is no way we got a nice room here for that price.." but I was very surprised when we walked in to our room because it was VERY clean and clutter free (and it did not seem small or cramped like most hotels do).

In addition, the staff were all very nice and helpful to me because I had never been to Colorado before, so they gave us some really good insight on the best places to eat and ski (even though I would not even consider myself an intermediate skier, I still had lots of fun because there were so many different activities in and around the resort including the ice skating and the chairlifts (one of my favorite activities).

I would recommend anyone who is thinking of traveling to Colorado stay in this ski lodge because it is a great deal for the quality!!
