Teds Montana Grill

I recently visited Ted’s Montana Grill in Larimer Square while on a business trip in Denver. We were there on a weeknight, so we only had to wait a few minutes before being seated.
My co-worker and I sat outside at wooden tables and enjoyed watching the light traffic while having delicious bison burgers. It was my first time having bison, so I had to indulge with the George’s Cadillac burger. What’s better on a burger than cheese and bacon? The burger was juicy and piled high with toppings. Bacon was crispy and not too salty.
The rolls were good: Kaiser style rolls that were not so thick that they overcame the burger, but tasty enough to add an earthy flavor. My co-worker had the Swiss & Mushroom burger, minus the sour cream (he’s a bit of a health nut). He had heard that the bison is flown in fresh daily from Ted’s ranch in Montana - I didn’t ask the waiter if it was true, but from the taste, I would believe it.
The waitstaff was friendly and polite, and they had a fairly good selection of beers for that type of restaurant. The menu was a little pricey for what we had (total bill ran us about $50), but the food was so good, it was well worth it. I was so impressed that I started experimenting with bison, cooking it at home after finding it at my local grocery store.
I would definitely visit Ted’s again, whether in Denver or elsewhere!
