Saigon Bowl: Best Vietnamese Food in Denver

by Lisa
(Denver, CO, USA)

When I moved to Denver two years ago I was happily surprised to discover the rich selection of Vietnamese restaurants just a short car ride from my apartment in west Denver. As all Denverites know the majority of Asian restaurants and marketplaces are located on and around Federal Boulevard. The number of restaurants is astounding and can be quite overwhelming if you don‘t know where to go. There are at least 10 Vietnamese restaurants just on the first few blocks of South Federal Blvd by itself. As an avid restaurant-goer I had to of course try them all!

And the winner is...Saigon Bowl! If you want authentic Vietnamese food that is also mouthwatering delicious, Saigon Bowl is your best option. You have to order the Vietnamese egg rolls, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. The egg rolls come out perfectly golden brown and include a heaping pile of lettuce wraps, mint, sprouts, pickled carrots, and other veggies. The menu is sizable with a wide selection of dishes, but the best part is the prices! My boyfriend and I can eat a full meal for about $25. The owner is very friendly too. If the wait staff is extra busy, he will personally come to the table to take your order.

The only downside of the restaurant is the long line you can expect during peak business hours. On weekends the line extends out the door. This might clue you in to just how good the food is if people are willing to wait 30 minutes to be seated. I suggest going on a slow day in the middle of the week, or better yet beat the crowd by eating at 6pm.
