Roller Hockey

My favorite sports team would have to be the Colorado Avalanche. When I was growing up I played in a roller hockey league with my friends. When I first started, I was put into a division higher than most of my friends because I was a little bit better for my age group.

When my friends matured and were able to step up, my best friend was the goalie and I was a defense-men. We knew each other's weakness and played with each other real well. People started to call us Roy and Foote after the goalie and defense-men for Denver.

It was funny because prior to this we already liked the Avalanche. Their jerseys were sick looking, fan base was huge, and, come on, winter in Denver can't be beat. Every time I see the Avalanche it reminds me of the good times during middle school when my buddy and I played roller hockey together.

We won the championship that year. My best friend had a game winning save, and he directed the puck at me in - I skated down the whole way and scored the winning goal, (it was in over time) he got the assist - it was perfect.
