It took 21 months to build and over 180 million dollars! The facility is owned by Stan Kroenke who is also the owner of the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Mammoth, and Colorado Rapids. Numerous special events have been held here such as the 2001 Stanley Cup Finals, 2001 NHL All-Star Game, the 2005 NBA All-Star Game, and the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
