My Top Four Colorado Experiences

When I went to Colorado a few years ago, we wanted to see as much of it as possible. We only had four days, and we wanted to make the most of it. My family loves all the nature and historical things.

The first day, we went to the Denver Mint. My little brother and myself found if really fascinating that we were able to watch all of this money being made. We also got to look at historical money that had made it through the mint, such as extremely old coins and even dollar bills.

The second day, we went to the Denver Zoo. I love animals. Also, I love photography and so does my mom. This was an amazing opportunity to get some great shots of beautiful animals. There were over a thousand animals there and no two were alike. Every picture was different, which is always a good thing in photography.

The third day, we went to Rocky Mountain National Park. My family is really big on outdoor activities. We walked all around this park and that was amazing! We loved the fact that none of it was man made, it was formed that way from the beginning.

The fourth day, we saw some advertising for the Hot Air Balloon Festival. One of my mom's ambitions in life is to fly up in a Hot Air Balloon. She was more than excited about it. As a family, we all got in the balloon and went up. We had an unforgettable experience up there, in the air. Looking down and seeing an entire area of Colorado was by far the coolest thing. We had no idea that we'd take a ride on a hot air balloon during our Colorado trip!

My short trip to Colorado will never be forgotten. It was so much fun!
