Mead Street Station Grill and Bar

Mead Street Station Grill and Bar, located at 3625 West 32nd Avenue, is by far one of the coolest spots in Denver. I was told that it has the reputation of being a popular restaurant and bar for locals.

I went there for lunch on New Year’s Eve and lucked out by snagging the last empty table. It was a packed house and I had a good time "people watching." It was one of the coldest days we had all year so I ordered the chicken enchilada soup and a side of their homemade macaroni and cheese. Upon entering, I noticed the natural wood. It gives the restaurant a warm, cozy look and instantly gave me a laid-back, welcoming feeling. The interior reminded me of a Wild West bar with beautiful, creaky old wooden floors.

The menu was one of the largest that I’ve seen. I wanted to order everything! Although the place was packed, the servers and cooks seemed to keep up with the pace and appeared to actually be enjoying their work.

There’s no doubt in my mind that I’ll be going back to Mead Street.
