Marlowe's

by Erin
(Denver, CO, USA)

The Best Seafood in Denver, and More

Marlowe’s is hands-own one of the very best restaurants in Denver. The menu offers a great selection of fresh seafood – a rarity in the Rockies – as well as a large selection of delicious steaks, salads, and pasta. My personal favorite: the Alaskan Halibut with the Grilled Pear salad.

There is also a good selection of daily specials that really to do change from day to day, and special orders are generally accepted. The ambiance is wonderful – a little dark, a little loud, very cozy, with huge windows and a beautiful vaulted ceiling. Even during dinner, the atmosphere is relaxed but slightly charged with energy. It’s a great place to relax after work or to bring a date.

Because the restaurant is so popular, service can be somewhat slow during dinner (especially during the weekends), but it’s an excellent option for a great breakfast, lunch, or after-dinner drink.

The martinis are a perennial favorite, but the cocktails are also delicious and well-made, and there’s also a good selection of beer and wine.

In addition to the great architecture inside there’s also a lovely patio area in the front where guests can be seated in the fresh air. Whatever your reason for going out – unwinding after a long day at work, hanging out with friends, impressing a date, or just to have some really great good – Marlowe’s is an excellent choice.

The restaurant is located in the historic Kittredge Building on the corner of 16th and Glenam in the 16th Street Mall, and it is very convenient to reach from the light rail and the free 16th Street Mall shuttle bus.
