Go Broncos

by Sam
(Minnesota)

I have been a fan of the Denver Bronco’s ever since the glory years of John Elway. I was ramping up for the 2009-2010 NFL football year. As a Bronco’s fan I was hoping Kyle Orton would have a breakthrough year.

The Bronco’s management made a great decision to dump Jay Cutler while he was playing at his peak. The Bronco’s got the most they possible could have got for Cutler. The Bronco’s got Kyle Orton from the Bears along with some high seeded draft picks for next year’s NFL draft. Who could have predicted that Orton would have a better year than Cutler?

Cutler led the league in interceptions thrown, with 26. A team like the Bronco’s didn’t start 6-0, giving the ball away that easily. I like the Broncos for decisions like this. Upper level management wanted this year to be a winning year.

After the Bronco’s started 6-0, I thought they would go all the way, as did most of my buddies that like the Broncos. After their 6-0 start the Bronco’s went on a four game losing streak to get them to 6-4. After this they won two in a row and then finished the year off on an awful note losing another 4 straight. What a terrible loss to the Chiefs to end the year!

I think Kyle Orton, long term, will be a great addition to the team. He will grow, only get better, and maybe with some off the field acquisitions over the off season, the Bronco’s will come back strong next fall.

The last thing I must say about the Denver Broncos is about the fan support. They have the best support of any team in the NFL. I have lived in Denver and attended a handful of games. I love the new stadium and the fan support is amazing.
