First Time Skiing!

(Winter Park, CO)
Traveling to Colorado with a family of four from Texas who have never seen snow before to ski, now that sounds like a vacation! The roster consisted of my mother, my step mom, my brother, and I.
We arrived in Winter Park, CO at a time when they had just had a huge snow fall. I'm not sure what the average is for this time of year or what they consider to be a lot but when I step outside and my leg goes into the snow to where I have to be helped out, than I consider that to be a lot!
We got to the ski resort and there was a big beautiful mountain that experienced skiers and snowboarders were riding, making it look effortless! So we all took our ski lessons and passed with flying colors!
All that I remember to do was wedge (stopping yourself was the part I didn't want to forget!) So we decided to leave the bunny hill for some real skiing action! What color diamond did the ski instructor say was the easiest? Well none of us could remember! But whatever trail we were going down didn't seem that complicated and it's not like we could have turned around anyway so we all kept going.
As we were getting our ski legs and began to feel more confident about our abilities, we all took a turn to the left and WHAM! We all were skiing down the main mountain that was in front of the ski resort!
My mom fell and rolled part of the way down the hill, my brother fell towards the middle, my step mom made it a bit farther but when it got rougher fell, Me, on the other hand, I made it all the way down the mountain and crashed into the orange barricades at the bottom of the hill! Needless to say by the time we all reconvened we were tired and needed some hot chocolate, Tylenol and a nap! What a great way to start off our week long vacation!
