Elitch Gardens

by Natalie
(Montana)

Check Out the Elitch Gardens Theme Park!

I have family in Denver, and because of this I'm able to take vacations there on a regular basis. There is so much to do in the Denver area. The zoo, aquarium, and botanic gardens are among my favorite attractions. However, the kid in me has to say that my absolute favorite place to visit in Denver is the Elitch Gardens Theme Park.

For as long as I can remember, I've been a huge fan of roller coasters, and this theme park delivers on that front. The Twister II is one of my favorite roller coasters of all time. The view of Denver that you can see from atop many of the rides is incredible. If you're a thrill seeker, there is no better way to see Denver.

If you're visiting Denver during the hottest months of the year, you should also be sure to check out the water park there. They have some very exciting water slides, and the wave pool is always a lot of fun. I personally like to ride rides until I feel really desperate to cool off and then enjoy myself at the water park for the rest of the day.

As long as you have the stomach for rides that are full of twists and turns, I highly recommend the Elitch Gardens. It may not be the most well known theme park in the country, but I think it has some of the best roller coasters. You should try to take full advantage of this hidden gem.
