Durango Mountain Ski Resort

You can't beat Colorado when it comes to ski trips. It's full of great mountains to ski on and great ski resorts to stay at during your trip. My favorite ski lodge in the state has to be the Durango Mountain Resort. It beats the competition for me for many reasons.

Firstly, the Durango Mountain offers consistently great skiing. It always feels like the snow is fresh, even when I don't get out there until a little bit later in the day. A lot of places I've been to make me feel like I have to get up extremely early if I want to get my money's worth, and it makes it feel like less of a vacation to me. I've heard that Durango Mountain gets more snow then most place in Colorado, and the difference it makes is a significant one.

The lodgings are wonderful too. My ideal experience is to rent one of the beautiful town homes that are available. The ones I've tried that I've liked the best are the Black Bear Town homes. The decor somehow manages to look very chic and modern while still having a rustic feel.

The layout is great too. It feels very spacious, and it's a great place to stay with kids. They have some space to run around inside, so you don't feel like you have to have them burning off their energy outside constantly.

Ski lessons is another plus for the Durango Mountain Resort for me. The shopping and resorts are lovely too. There is so much to recommend about this particular resort. If you're planning a ski trip in Colorado, you should absolutely check it out.
