Downtown Aquarium

In Colorado, one of the most exciting things to do is to visit the Downtown Aquarium. Since the ocean isn't exactly right around the corner, this is a great place to check out some ocean life.
The Aquarium is open seven days a week and is well worth checking out! My kids love to go and look at all of the exhibits. They have nine different exhibits, including North America, In The Desert, Under The Sea, At The Wharf, The Rainforest, Coral Lagoon, Sunken Temple, Shipwreck, and At The Beach. These are great exhibits for kids, especially since they aren't typically around these typed of creatures.
At the aquarium, not only do they have exhibits to look at, but they have different educational programs for kids. They have Marine Biologist for a Day, and Zoologist for a Day. There are also very cool tours that you can take and find out all sorts of things that you wouldn't normally find out in a regular Aquarium visit.
You can even sleep over at the Aquarium! My kids (and my husband) love this. You get to sleep in the Aquarium after everyone else has left. It's a very cool, special thing that my girls like to do on their birthdays.
If you're hungry, the Aquarium has a great restaurant. They serve a wide variety of food, and it's not your typical attraction food. They have gourmet steaks, seafood, and chicken. They also have very good desserts.
If you go alone with your spouse, they have a Dive Lounge that serves excellent before dinner drinks.
The Downtown Aquarium is a great place for adults and kids alike. My entire family loves it.
