Denver Weather

Denver weather is usually pleasant throughout most of the year. Haven't you heard that Denver has 300+ days of sunshine per year? It's true! Cloudy skies for more than a day or two are unusual.

So what can you expect?

Spring weather can be fickle in Denver. Temperatures can range from the 40's to high 70's, with rainstorms, snow, and sunshine all in one week! Wear layers so that you can take something off if you get hot or put something on if it turns cooler.

What to pack? T-shirts, a couple of sweaters or sweatshirts, jeans (or long pants), long sleeved shirts, and maybe one pair of shorts.

In the summer, highs can reach into the 90's and occasionally over 100. However, you will still need to bring a sweatshirt and a light jacket because evenings can be chilly, afternoon rainstorms are common, and if you go to the mountains the temperatures there can be cooler.

What to pack? tank tops, t-shirts, shorts, a light jacket and a sweatshirt, flip-flops, and your swimming suit!

Temperatures in the fall are often still quite warm - highs in the 60's or 70's. Layers are a good idea at this time of year.

What to pack? jeans, shorts, t-shirts, one or two sweaters or sweatshirts, a light jacket, and a coat, just in case of an early snowstorm.

Winter still has frequent warm days, getting up to the 50's. Snow never stays on the ground long in Denver because the it warms up so quickly! Even if it's snowy, the sun is usually going to shine soon.

What to pack? jeans, boots, sweaters, long sleeved shirts, gloves, hats, coats, and socks.

You can look at the weather module below to see the weather for the next day or two.
