Colorado Rockies Baseball Game

by Jenni
(Denver, Colorado)

Every year, my two brothers and I would head out to Denver, Colorado to spend time with our dad. It was hard to leave our friends behind, and the three of us rarely agreed on what we wanted to do.

Well one year our dad made plans to take us to a Colorado Rockies baseball game. At the time, I wasn't that into baseball so I didn't know if I really wanted to go or just stay home. Well, I am so glad that I decided to go to the baseball game.

Nothing is more exciting then experiencing a Major League Baseball game in person. The energy in Coors Field was pumped up, and everyone was excited for the game. The smells coming from the food all around you are just amazing, at least at the time. I loved being able to see in person how exciting the game of baseball really is. The sounds are something that you miss when you watch any baseball game on television.

It was great to be able to hear the ball being hit and then seeing the action unfolds afterward. Coors Field was a great place to be able to see my first baseball game. All the excitement inside the park made you forget that you were in a big city like Denver.

Baseball quickly became one of my favorite sports, because of that one Colorado Rockies game. It was an experience I would not have traded anything for, not even staying at home with all my friends.
