Colorado Buffaloes

Go Buffs!!The Colorado Buffaloes, whom we loving call the Buffs, football team is the greatest. They play in the Big 12 Conference. The team is steeped in tradition, which is one of the reasons why to me they are the best. Their mascot is a buffalo named Ralphie, which is reason enough to love the Buffaloes!
They have played at the same field (Folsom Field) since 1923. They show such dedication for the game they play, you can see it written all over their faces.
They won the National Championship in 1990, and they also won the Orange Bowl over Notre Dame in 1991.
Rashaan Salaam, Buffaloes' running back, won the Heisman Trophy in 1994, which was the same year that he ran his 2,000 yard.
They won the distinction of "College Football's Play of the Decade" and an ESPY award from a 1995 game against Michigan.
One huge reason to love the Buffs is because of Charles Johnson. He was the MVP of the Orange Bowl in 1991, when the Buffaloes brutally kicked Notre Dame back to Indiana.
The biggest reason for my love of the Buffs, is the feeling I get when they come to play at home. The town goes crazy with excitement, everything is decorated, people don the Buffs colors, shirts, jersey, hats, and all.
All of the Coloradians get pumped up to watch our very own Buffs fight for their love of the game.
Tailgating before a game is the ultimate place for everyone to come out and get excited together. There is no other feeling like sitting in Folsom Field waiting for the game to start with all of your friends.
