Brauns Bar and GrillI just visited Brauns Bar and Grill before seeing a show at the Pepsi Center. Brauns is a restaurant and sports bar that is located between the Pepsi Center and downtown Denver. The inside was extremely warm and cozy, especially since there was a heavy snow coming down outside. Everything about the place screamed Denver restaurant. It was a nicer place that still had that great downtown feel. I split the Cajun chicken pasta with my friend and found the portion to be large enough for sharing.
After dinner, we went downstairs to the sports bar called The Penalty, also part of Brauns. It was a Thursday night, but they seemed somewhat busy for a weeknight at a Denver sports bar. I think many of the guests were also going to the concert, just as I was. The food came out fast, the service was great, and the interior was comfortable. Overall the menu featured a lot of sandwiches, steaks, and seafood. I would love to go back and try another item off the menu. Denver dining at its best! New!
