Welcome To My Website!
Hey there. My name is Leslie Coleman, and I've been living in Colorado since January 2005. Fort Collins, just about an hour north of Denver, has been the place I call home since I moved from the Alabama Gulf Coast. I came here because I kept hearing such amazing things about the state, and specifically Fort Collins (what is often referred to as “The Fort.”) I attended Colorado State University and received my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology in 2007.
Most of my free time is spent going to see live music. I didn’t realize it before the move, but Colorado has an awesome live music scene. There’s pretty much every style, but the whole jam band scene is huge out here, so that keeps me busy and broke. Living in Fort Collins allows me to easily access venues outside of town, including those in Boulder and Denver. I started to ski my first winter out here and while in school I would try and make a couple trips each season. Winter Park, CO is my favorite place to ski. Aspen is one ski town at the top of my Colorado list of places to visit. For some reason haven't yet had an opportunity to go. Camping is another outdoor activity that I really enjoy. I prefer to camp for more than one night and also somewhere I won't see anyone but the people I'm with. That’s real camping to me. To have plenty of time, to be able to wander where I want, to go and spend the day alone if I wish, the risk of walking up on a wild animal! That’s what I like. That’s when I truly appreciate Colorado. I also enjoy cooking, dining out, and trying new ethnic foods. I have a strong love for food and culture. While I enjoy skiing and camping, I also like relaxing activities like BBQing, tubing down the Poudre River, and shopping in little out-of-the-way spots that I didn‘t discover until I had been living here awhile. Last but certainly not least, I am an animal lover. I own a pet sitting business in Fort Collins, so if you are in the area and need a pet sitter, please call me. With this website I’ll tell you about all of my favorite things to do in the Denver area. Nobody should visit Denver without spending some time in the mountains, so I’ll tell you about some great day trips. Dig into the site and you will see why I have fallen in love with Colorado.
