A Great Time Skiing in the Mountains

My favorite thing to in Colorado HAS to be skiing. Being from the Midwest, it is a treat to be able to ski on a real mountain. Colorado has a large assortment of options to choose from in the skiing department. The thrill begins as you approach Denver and the mountains become bigger and bigger as you get closer.
Many of Colorado’s skiing resorts have places you can stay on the mountain just a few steps away from the closest lift and are very luxurious.
Beginning to ascend the mountains is a great feeling. The air begins to thin and you get excited for what awaits you at your destination.
The feeling you get once you get off at the top of the mountain is sheer exhilaration. On a clear day you can see miles and miles of beautiful snow-capped mountains. The view alone is worth the trip. Sliding down the mountain with a layer of fresh powder is just icing on the cake.
There are runs for people of all levels, from the absolute beginner to the seasoned veteran looking to challenge themselves, and there are plenty of options for everyone in between. The runs seem to last forever and are just as scenic as the top of the mountain.
When you have had enough for the day you can retire to one of the many great restaurants in the mountains. When it comes time to leave I always look back on my time spent as a great time and cannot wait until I have another opportunity to return.
